Heidi Health Explained – 1st April 2025

You may be offered a consultation with the assistance of ‘Heidi’. We have introduced this new AI technology to the surgery so that your GP can focus on you as the patient & be able to give you more eye contact rather than have to type notes into the computer during your time with the GP.

Heidi Health is a smart computer helper that doctors use to take notes during your visit. It listens to what the doctor and patient say and writes it down so the doctor doesn’t have to.

Why do doctors use Heidi?

• More time for you – The doctor can listen and talk to you instead of writing.

• Fewer mistakes – Everything you say is written down correctly.

• Faster care – Less time on paperwork means more time for patients.

Is my information safe?

Yes! Heidi follows all the rules to keep your details private. It records your visit, makes notes, and then deletes the recording. You can say “no” to Heidi if you don’t want it used, and your care will stay the same.
